- Who knows how many times Italians must have heard the words: “Gnocchi on Thursdays”. This famous saying continues with “fish on Fridays, tripe on Saturdays”.
During the post-war period, this was more than a suggestion. It was a habit. A simple yet delicious recipe for a boost of energy in view of a “lighter” Friday, when religion imposed abstinence from eating meat. Luckily, things have changed today and we are free to try out new recipes every day.
Enjoy our potato gnocchi with basil and tomato, or seasoned with sage and butter, walnut sauce, Genoese pesto, ragout, gorgonzola or any other strong cheese. -
